The interactive modules include video and audio clips, quizzes and written assignments. Who is the e-learning English course intended for?
This e-learning course is ideal for colleagues who want to improve their English alongside their work. Professionals who regularly interact with international colleagues, customers or suppliers, for example, or someone who simply wants to feel more confident using English.
E-learning is also a smart solution for businesses with large numbers of staff or varying working hours. Everyone can learn at their own pace, without this impacting their work. And thanks to its flexible format, the programme remains personal and manageable, even for large groups.
How does the e-learning English course work?
After enrolling, participants are given instant access to the platform. They can get started straight away on their laptop, tablet or mobile. The lessons are structured in bite-sized, manageable modules; perfect for following in a gap between meetings or during a train journey. The exercises are varied, active and focused on the language that you need on a daily basis in an international working environment. Would you like to train a number of employees? We’d be happy to prepare a customised proposal, with group registration, progress reports and support from our coordinators.
What if I’d like extra coaching?
Some participants prefer to learn independently, others like to have incentives. That’s why the e-learning can be extended with personal online classes from a native-speaking teacher. In these Online+Teacher sessions, you get live support with speaking, listening, and grammatical and vocabulary exercises. This helps you make the step from ‘understanding’ to ‘daring to use’. Perfect for anyone who wants some extra motivation or personal feedback.
What levels are available?
E-learning is available at different levels; from absolute beginner to semi-advanced speaker. Every participant starts at their own level, so that no one finds it too easy or too difficult. We’ll teach you what you’ll need in order to speak and write English confidently in your work situation.
What if I want to learn in a classroom setting?
Would you rather learn with others in a classroom setting? That’s also possible. When it comes to in-person courses, UvA Talen offers several options. For example, you can choose from:
In-company English – at your location, focused on real-world collaboration;
Tailormade English course – one-to-one or in a small group, 100% personalised;
InTense English – an intensive learning week with rapid, measurable progress.

Learning English during your work day
Our e-learning is adapted to your working rhythm. There’s no need to take a whole day off to study; a regular half-hour per day is sufficient to make progress. Participants find themselves daring to use their English more and more: when emailing a customer, interjecting during an international Teams call, or making a joke by the coffee machine.
