As a member of the NRTO UvA Talen strives to meet the high quality standards that have been examined by an external certified institution. We therefore apply the terms and conditions of the trade organisations for private educational institutions.

Group courses

Invoicing

You will receive an invoice from UvA Talen B.V. after enrolling. If you would like the invoice to be sent to an employer or other sponsor, you can select this option DURING the enrollment process. You are required to fill out the details of your company and of a contact person. We will then verify this with your sponsor or employer. It is not possible to modify the invoice after it has been sent.

  1. The invoice must be paid within 21 days, unless the training starts before the due date of the invoice. In case we have not received a payment after the due date, UvA Talen is entitled to refuse participation (temporarily) from the course. 

Cancellation by UvA Talen 

  1. In the event that there are an insufficient number of participants (less than five per group), UvA Talen reserves the right to cancel a course. Any paid course fees will be refunded completely.
  2. In case of cancellation, UvA Talen cannot be held liable for any expenses already made by the student (such as travel or accommodation costs).

Discounts

  1. UvA Talen offers a € 50 discount to the following students: returning students form previous UvA Talen courses, students (hbo/wo), UvA employees, UvA PhD-candidates, and AUV-members. UvA Talen offers a 20% discount to students of University of Amsterdam and Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. UvA Talen may also offer (temporary) discounts to employees of various institutions.
  2. In some cases it's possible to combine a discount with the returning student discount. Other discount combinations do not apply.
  3. Discounts acquired through a voucher or discount code can in some cases be combined with the returning student discount. A discount code without due date can only be applied once, unless stated otherwise.
  4. After enrolment, we will ask you to send us a proof that you are entitled to the discount applied, for example, a proof of enrolment for University students, AUV-membership card or an UvA-employee card. In case you are unable to provide this proof, you are not entitled to the discount and will receive an additional invoice. Your enrolment will not be cancelled.

As member of the NRTO, we contribute to the development of our students on a day to day basis, therefore we make use of the NRTO code of conduct.

Feedback and complaints procedure

At UvA Talen, we strive for the highest quality. Are you dissatisfied with your course? Or do you have feedback about the methods of our staff or teachers? Please contact us as soon as possible. You can do this via phone, email, or in person at our office. We will take your feedback seriously and find a fitting solution together.

What do we do with your feedback or complaint?

After receiving your feedback we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss it with you. Depending on the matter and situation, we will present it to the UvA Talen Complaints Committee and strive to come up a solution within five working days. This way, we hope to come to a suitable solution together.

In some cases it may take more time to propose a solution, for example if further research is required. In that case, we will let you know that it may take longer.

If we cannot find a suitable solution together, we will submit the feedback to the leading manager of the relevant department.

Your learning experience comes first. We value your feedback and handle complaints with great care. You can trust that we handle your complaint with the utmost discretion and confidentiality.
