Day of the Italian Language Event
About this event
Join us in celebrating the Italian culture and language this year with a special theme: Fiori d’arancio – a celebration around spring and blossom trees!
Whether you have little to no experience speaking Italian or you’re an advanced (C1) learner, we have an exciting and interactive event for you filled with workshops at every level, games lead by our experienced Italian teachers, authentic food catered just for you, free course prizes and MORE!
How will it be structured? Upon arrival, you will be placed in a group that coincides with your *current level in Italian – based on the level you’ve indicated on your sign-up form. This will be confirmed either through your last completed course at UvA Talen or a short intake upon checking in at our office that day. From there, you will remain with this group through the entirety of the event - breaking out into smaller groups, practicing new words, playing games organised by the teachers, and eating delicious Italian snacks. But don’t worry! There will be plenty of moments scheduled to take a break, grab a drink and meet those in the other groups.
*Please keep in mind that this event is intended for non-native Italian speakers.
Good to keep in mind
The event takes place from 13:00 – 17:00h, but our doors will open at 12:15h in order to check everyone in on time before we start. Our doors will CLOSE at 13:30h, and we will no longer be letting visitors in past this time. Therefore, we ask that you please arrive on time to our office.
You are expected to stay for the entire event, as you will be guided through various activities in groups. And we promise – it’ll be worth staying for our free course prizes at the end!
If, though, you cannot stay the entire time, that’s ok! Let us know in advance what time you will have to leave. Either way, you won’t be leaving empty-handed. Take a pocket-full of knowledge, some UvA Talen merchandise and a special discount voucher with you on your way out!
