The air is getting warmer, the days are getting longer, and life in the Netherlands is waking up again. With renewed springtime energy and sharper focus, progress will start feeling natural. And whether you’re starting from scratch on a new hobby or a lifelong goal this spring, like learning a language, it’s all about finding the right environment to hit the ground running.

Our goal at UvA Talen is to create a learning environment that inspires you this spring, and what better way to start than announcing our big April course round - offering courses in 13 different languages, at all levels, and with flexible course formats to match your needs. See more details below.
April course details: Intensive, evening and weekend options
The April group courses start between 13 and 16 April 2026*, and are available online via Zoom or in-class in Amsterdam. Prices start from €450, and courses are designed to fit different schedules and learning needs.
What are the different course options, you ask? You can choose between an intensive course for rapid progress, an evening course if you prefer a steady pace alongside a busy work or study schedule, or a weekend course for those who just simply enjoy being productive on Saturdays!
These courses are offered in all 13 languages UvA Talen has to offer: Dutch, English, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Portuguese, Swedish, Arabic, Russian, Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
*Our intensive and evening course options start between 13 – 16 April. Weekend courses start on 25 April. These dates are indicated on each course page under the ‘Course schedule and prices’ dropdown.
How to enrol
Enrolling is easy! Just follow these simple steps:
- Choose the language you would like to start learning from the list above
- Select the level you wish to study (based on what you think suits you best)
- Indicate whether you'd like to take the course online or in-class at our location in Amsterdam
- Browse all the intensive, evening and weekend courses starting in the upcoming period, and click ‘Enrol now!’ when you’ve found the best option for you
